Here you'll find a weekly (or so) spotlight of a dog/puppy from our Moodyblues Whippets family. and what they've been up to! (Look for special "guest vignettes" occasionally as well!)
This week's pup of the week is Scout.
11/7/2025

Scout
Moodyblues Ten Thousand Miles I Roam, BCAT
Aliases: Scooty-Boo, Mama, Scout the Snout, Lemon Sprout
I'm from the Moodyblues' "Dock of the Bay" litter - born 11/7/2021 (my puppy name was Barracuda)
My mom is Zelda (Bobbilees Race Like an Ace FCAT, SC, CA) and my dad is Denim
(Eryri Blue Bojangle at Moxie BCAT. from Timbreblue Whippets)
Me as a wee pup.

Here's my peeps...Katie (mom), Chris, Beckett (sister) and Wyatt (bro)
We live in Norfolk, Virginia
I share my peeps with: Nash the Singapura cat (up until 10/7/25)
and Apollo the leopard gecko

My favorite activities are: Chasing squirrels (also the name of my rock band), and following mom around the house

Sports/dog events I participate in: FastCat
Titles/certifications I have earned: BCAT (hopefully DCAT this season!)

I'm Thinking about trying: lure coursing, flyball
I eat Purina Pro Plan (but begrudgingly if its not sprinkled with people-food toppers!)
My Favorite drink is: toilet bowl water
My favorite snack is peanuts! (and me and mom's secret late-night prosciutto and cheese snacks)
My favorite toy is... my sister Beckett's hand-crocheted hats
I get my outfits from: Ok... I'm one whippet that's not a fan of these demeaning "outfits" y'all dress whippets up in, so I usually refuse. How dare you??

The worst thing I ever chewed up was: an entire package of bone-in chicken thighs
When I grow up I want to: maybe have some more puppies??

A couple things interesting that you might not know about me:
I'm a mommy! of 9 beautiful babies born June 2025 (the Bluebirds litter) The baby daddy is Moodyblues' own... Zeppola

I have a rare allergy to seeing mom resting on any reclining surface. I'll bark and whine loudly to prevent anaphylaxis!
I'm a relatively rare coloration: an extreme-white piebald - without a colored tail patch. Apparently, this occurs in less than 1 in 100 piebald dogs!!
